Andrew Falconbridge has over 30 years of experience in the biotechnology industry. During that time, he has worked in the manufacturing and development of vaccines, therapeutic and diagnostic enzymes, and mabs. Andrew started his career at Welcomes and then at Genzyme before moving to Alvotech, where he has been developing biosimilars for 5 years as Director of Drug Substance Development and is now Vice President of Process Technology and Innovation, responsible for driving new technologies and innovation within Alvotech for development and manufacturing.
Melisa Carpio, Global Director of Upstream Field Applications at Repligen

Melisa Carpio has over fifteen years of experience in the biotechnology industry, working at Genitope, MedImmune, Takeda, and Sartorius. She is currently the Global Director of Upstream Field Applications at Repligen, managing the field scientists who help implement intensification using the XCell ATF and TFDF technologies. The core of her expertise is in cell line development and upstream bioprocessing, including the development and scale-up of various cell lines (CHO, 293, insect, yeast, and bacteria), molecule types, expression systems, and bioreactor platforms. Melisa has a B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Management of Technology Certification from the Haas School of Business.
